Bicentennial Celebration
Band Sponsor:

The excitement continues to grow as the Public Involvement Committee, along with a fantastic group of volunteers, have been diligently planning for the City of Monroe's Bicentennial Celebration in 2017. With multiple events on tap for this year, the Bicentennial Birthday Celebration will be September 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and September 23 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This event will have rides, games, circus performances, band entertainment, and fireworks.

We had a very successful Opening Ceremony on January 10th and thank everyone that was able to attend. Below you will find a list of events coming up for the remainder of the year.

The City continues to do all it can to reduce the cost of the events to the City. We are still seeking donations and sponsorship funds from both the business and residential community to make this celebration a success. You only turn 200 once!! Please visit our Sponsorship and Donation Benefits link.

Another way to help with this event is to provide us with contact information as volunteers will also be needed. As opportunities arise we will send out an email and post in the volunteer section of this website.
